Student Enrolment Terms & Conditions

These Student Enrolment Terms and Conditions (Terms) form a legally binding agreement between: 

1. KIN T SUGI MEDICAL TATTOO ACADEMY PTY LTD  (ABN 13 687 877 005),  (Kin+Sugi, we, us, or  our); and 

2. The Student – the individual enrolling in a  training course with Kin+Sugi (Student, you, or  your). 

By signing the Student Enrolment Form, you confirm  that you have read, understood, and agreed to these  Terms. 

1. INTRODUCTION 

1.1. Kin+Sugi offers training courses in cosmetic tattooing  and beauty services. These Terms set out the rights and  obligations of both Restore and the Student in relation to  course enrolment, fees, participation, and completion. 

1.2. By signing the Student Enrolment Form and paying  the required deposit or course fees, you agree to comply  with these Terms. 

1.3. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not  proceed with enrolment. 

2. COURSE ENROLMENT & BOOKING  CONFIRMATION 

2.1. To enrol in a training course, the Student must  complete the Student Enrolment Form and pay the  required deposit. 

2.2. Enrolment is not confirmed until: 

• The required deposit has been received; and

• Kin+Sugi has provided written confirmation of  enrolment. 

2.3. Course availability is limited. Enrolment is  processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Students  acknowledge that their spot may be allocated to another  student if they do not pay their deposit within 48 hours of  making the booking.

 

3. COURSE FEES & PAYMENT TERMS 

3.1. A 25% deposit is required to secure your training  date. 

3.2. The deposit must be paid within 48 hours of  booking, or the course spot may be forfeited. Payment  must be made to Kin+Sugi's nominated bank account as  specified on the enrolment form and website. 

3.3. The deposit is non-refundable under any  circumstances, except as otherwise required by  Australian Consumer Law.  

3.4. The full course fee must be paid before the course  start date. Failure to make full payment may result in  cancellation of your enrolment, with no refund of the  deposit. 

3.5. Kin+Sugi is not liable for any losses incurred by any  student who loses their enrolled training date if they fail  to pay their deposit.  

4. REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY 

4.1. The  deposit is non-refundable under any  circumstances. 

4.2. No refunds will be issued for, but not limited to: 

• Failure to attend the course; 

• A change of mind; or 

• Inability to meet course requirements. 

4.3. Course fees are non-transferable to another person  or course date unless approved in writing by Kin+Sugi. 

4.4. If Kin+Sugi cancels a course due to unforeseen  circumstances, students will be offered a rescheduled  date or a refund of any fees paid, excluding the deposit. 

5. COURSE PARTICIPATION  REQUIREMENTS 

5.1. The Student must attend all scheduled training  sessions and actively participate in practical and  theoretical components. 

5.2. Certain courses have prerequisites (e.g., infection  control certification). It is the Student’s responsibility to  ensure they meet these requirements before enrolling. 

5.3. Students attending ‘kitless’ courses must bring their  own tools and pigments, as specified in the course  description. 

5.4. Kin+Sugi will not be liable for any losses incurred by  students who are not prepared with the proper equipment 

upon attendance of their training course. Students who  are unable to complete their course on any given day,  having not come to the course with the required equipment specified in the course description and  communicated to the student, will not be entitled to a  refund of their deposit and any other course fees paid to  Kin+Sugi.  

5.5. Kin+Sugi provides all necessary training materials  during the course, unless otherwise stated. 

6. STUDENT CONDUCT & ZERO  TOLERANCE POLICY 

6.1. Kin+Sugi is committed to providing a safe and  respectful learning environment. 

6.2. Zero Tolerance Policy: 

a. Aggressive, abusive, or violent behaviour toward  instructors, staff, or other students will result in  immediate removal from the course. 

b. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive  behaviour will not be tolerated. 

c. Students who repeatedly fail to attend, fail to follow  instructions, or engage in misconduct may have their  enrolment cancelled without a refund. 

6.3. Kin+Sugi reserves the right to refuse enrolment or  remove a Student from the course if they breach these  Terms. 

7. COURSE COMPLETION &  CERTIFICATION 

7.1. Successful completion of a Kin+Sugi training course  requires the Student to: 

• Attend all training sessions; 

• Demonstrate competency in practical skills;  and 

• Complete any required assessments. 

7.2. Completion of a Restore course does not guarantee  employment or business success. Students acknowledge  that hours of practice after course training has been  completed is required to master the techniques and skills  learned within the course.  

7.3. Kin+Sugi provides training certificates upon  completion, which are not government-accredited  qualifications. 

7.4. Further practice beyond the course may be required  to develop professional skills and competency.  

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY &  RESTRICTIONS 

8.1. All course materials, manuals, and training content  strictly remain the intellectual property of Restore. 

8.2. The Student must not: 

• Copy, share, or reproduce training materials;

• Use Kin+Sugi's course materials for commercial  purposes; or 

• Teach or resell the techniques learned in the  course for 48 months after completion. 

9. LIABILITY & DISCLAIMER 

9.1. The Student acknowledges that Medical tattooing requires skill development and carries certain risks. 

9.2. Kin+Sugi is not liable for any injury, adverse reaction,  or outcome resulting from the Student’s practice after  completing the course. 

9.3. The Student is responsible for obtaining appropriate  insurance and following industry regulations before  offering cosmetic tattooing services. 

10. AGREEMENT &  ACKNOWLEDGEMENT 

By signing the Student Enrolment Form, you  acknowledge and agree that: 

☑ You have read, understood, and agreed to these  Student Enrolment Terms and Conditions. 

☑ You understand that course fees are non-refundable  and non-transferable. 

☑ You understand that completion of the course does  not guarantee employment or a recognised  qualification. 

☑ You accept responsibility for your skill development  after the course.
